Elizabeth Tofaris
Communications Manager, IfM Engage
Elizabeth is the Communications Manager at the Institute for Manufacturing (IfM), where she leads the communications strategy for the IfM, its knowledge-transfer arm IfM Engage, and Cambridge Industrial Innovation Policy. Her work focuses on creating accessible, impactful content and amplifying the reach of IfM research to diverse audiences.
At Cambridge Industrial Innovation Policy, she has supported communications for key initiatives, including the UK Innovation Report and multi-stakeholder collaborations such as with UNIDO, the World Economic Forum, and the UAE’s Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) to promote best practices in manufacturing. She also manages communications for the Global Initiative for Industrial Safety, enhancing its profile and sharing its work internationally.
Before joining IfM Engage, Elizabeth worked at the Research for Equitable Access and Learning (REAL) Centre in the Faculty of Education, University of Cambridge. There, she specialised in translating research evidence for the Department for International Development-funded Impact Initiative.
She holds an MPhil in Development Studies from the University of Cambridge.
Cambridge Industrial Innovation Policy is based at the Institute for Manufacturing (IfM), a division of the University of Cambridge’s Department of Engineering.
