Published on July 14th 2020
Innovate UK has commissioned the Policy Links Unit to conduct a study to better understand challenges and opportunities for international research and innovation (R&I) collaboration in the advanced manufacturing and materials sector.
The project will provide Innovate UK with deeper insights into key emerging manufacturing technology domains where international R&I collaboration has the potential to unlock significant and strategic value capture opportunities for the United Kingdom.
The project will also involve extensive consultations with key UK innovation and research stakeholders, including the High Value Manufacturing Catapults.
The study will analyse and deliver insights into major international manufacturing R&I strategies, policy drivers and technology roadmaps relevant to the UK advanced manufacturing sector. It will provide Innovate UK with recommendations of R&I interventions and anticipated benefits to the UK advanced manufacturing sector, as well as evidence supporting business case development to secure UKRI Funding.
