Policy Links facilitate a workshop on innovation and R&D local strategies with the Northern Powerhouse Local Enterprise Partnerships

CSTI and Policy Links participated in a workshop aiming to identify ways for the Northern England Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) to build on their innovation strengths in their Local Industrial Strategies. It also explored how collaboration on innovation and R&D could be encouraged between the 11 LEPs.

Policy Links presented academic evidence and international best practices to inform their decisions. In addition, discussions on the innovation and R&D dimensions of the Local Industrial Strategies were facilitated. Participants included representatives from the Northern Powerhouse 11 LEPs, Cities and Local Growth Unit officials, Innovate UK and BEIS Science, Research and Innovation Directorate officials.
