Sir Mike Gregory represents Babbage Forum at high-level industrial strategy discussions

Sir Mike Gregory, Chair of the Babbage Forum, has contributed to high-level discussions on investment, innovation, and industrial growth at Wilton Park.
Hosted by the Department for Business and Trade, the meeting, held from 29 to 31 January, convened senior representatives from 20 governments and UK trade commissioners to explore opportunities for investment, infrastructure, and global partnerships.
Sir Mike’s involvement ensured that insights from the Babbage Forum helped shape discussions on strengthening industrial strategy, as well as the latest trends, challenges, and impacts of recent geopolitical changes.
Discussions also highlighted the importance of aligning industrial policy with long-term business investment, reinforcing the UK’s position as a global leader in Advanced Manufacturing, Digital & Tech, Life Sciences, and Clean Energy.
The Babbage Forum, part of Cambridge Industrial Innovation Policy, brings together world-renowned experts in economics, engineering, and operations management who share a common interest in effectively developing industrial innovation policies in an increasingly challenging world.
