Digital industrial policy implementation strategies for Least Developed Countries (LDCs) and Small Island Developing States (SIDS)

Published on April 14th 2021

The Commonwealth Secretariat, through its Trade, Oceans and Natural Resources Directorate, has conceived a project to support strategic thinking on digital industrial policy implementation strategies for Least Developed Countries (LDCs) and Small Island Developing States (SIDS).

Policy Links was awarded a contract to support the Commonwealth Secretariat to better understand policy implementation strategies relevant for the adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies in LDCs and SIDS. The project will build on previous analysis conducted by the Policy Links unit on Industry 4.0 policies around the world, as well as novel insights based on case studies that will address Industry 4.0 implementation strategies relevant for countries at different development stages, with different economic structures and different geographic locations, as well as consultation with key stakeholders.
