“The workshop helped us identify practical next steps to increasing the depth of understanding of advanced manufacturing capabilities in both the UK and Japan”.

Clare Porter, Head of Manufacturing UK Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS)

“We were delighted to find so many areas of common interest and agreement together with a shared enthusiasm for developing a better understanding of the changing face of global manufacturing and identifying areas for future partnership”.

Supporting policy practitioners

These workshops, roundtables and seminars are designed in close collaboration with stakeholders both in the UK and partner countries to ensure the agenda addresses their evidence needs. We aim to create a space where participants can:

  • Compare and learn about emerging international policy approaches and practices
  • Share practical solutions to challenges faced in developing and implementing effective innovation policies
  • Identify opportunities for ongoing dialogue and collaboration.
