Introduction to science, technology and innovation policy (2017)

A training programme for the UK’s Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS)

This training programme was designed in collaboration with the UK’s Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) to provide policy officials and civil servants a thorough introduction to Science, Technology & Innovation Policy. Attendees included officials involved in developing the UK’s Industrial Strategy as well as senior representatives from Innovate UK and the High Value Manufacturing Catapult. The course focused on three main areas: industrial innovation policy frameworks; policy approaches implemented in other countries; facilitated discussions on selected policy areas.
