Strategic roadmap for productive development policy in Trinidad and Tobago: Implementation strategy for centres of excellence (2018)

A project for the Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago (GORTT), on behalf of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB)

The project developed implementation roadmaps for five new national Centres of Excellence in Trinidad and Tobago. Such Centres are intended to help local firms innovate by facilitating business-led collaborations between research and industrial communities. The five priority areas selected include: (i) indigenous high-value agricultural based products; (ii) ICT; (iii) aviation services; (iv) maritime; and (v) energy engineering services. Specific missions and innovation services were defined for each Centre of Excellence through a broad consultation with local stakeholders.
